A new approach to employee exits
With so much technology at our fingertips, it’s easy to reminisce about the old-fashioned way of doing things. For example, it’s fun to retrieve a card from an actual mailbox or hold a freshly taken Polaroid picture. However, when it comes to employee separations, the conventional way is time-consuming, difficult, and error-prone.
A recent article highlighted the many ways technology can streamline the separation process:
Enables key teams — like HR, employee relations, DEI, legal, and finance — to work together using a central hub with automated workflows
Leverages built-in assessment tools to promote compliance with employment law and corporate policy
Employs configurable templates to automate document creation rather than relying on spreadsheets and mail-merge functionality
Uses rules-based document generation to create separation agreements with custom language, such as severance details or legally required disclosures related to the WARN Act or the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act
